Out of tune

Forchino introduces us to a universe that not only refutes all aesthetic value, but also forces us to delve into the heart of madness, deformity and ugliness.

The artist tackles this theme by making expressive subjects prisoners of their own bodies, stuck in their wheel chairs, tied up in a straitjacket, or under wires – thus offering furthermore a striking evocation of the torture carried out under the Argentinian military dictatorship.

These pieces capture the universe of people who are “out of tune”, those who don’t fit in or who stray from the moulds society imposes on them.
