After graduating in Fine Arts from the National University of Rosario, Argentina, he studied conservation and restoration of artworks at the Pantheon-Sorbonne University in Paris.<\/h5>\n

On completion of his studies in France, he returned to Argentina where he set up the first restoration department of the Juan B. Castagnino Fine Arts Museum in the city of Rosario.<\/h5>\n

After moving back to Paris permanently, between 1985 and 2002 he created a series of character-objects referencing the world of psychiatric hospitals and nursing homes. These pieces, presented in different exhibitions entitled \u00abDesafinados\u00bb (\u201cOut of tune\u201d), express notions that reveal the fragility of the human condition.<\/h5>\n

At the same time, from the 1990s onwards he started producing sculptures in polyurethane resin in a style evocative of comic books, in which the humour and irony are evident. These artworks are produced and distributed worldwide.<\/h5>\n

In 2016, the Roberto Fontanarrosa Cultural Centre in Rosario presented a retrospective of his \u00abComic art\u00bb, under the aegis of the Institut Fran\u00e7ais and the Alliance Fran\u00e7aise in Rosario.<\/h5>\n

One year later, the exhibition entitled \u00abLa mirada negada\u00bb (\u201cThe look denied\u201d) dealt with themes such as loneliness, old age, illness – and, more particularly \u2013 futile medical care, with the installation Basta<\/em> (\u201cEnough\u201d).<\/h5>\n

He then went on to tackle environmental subjects, such as climate disruption and pollution caused by industrial waste and the heaps of plastic thrown into the oceans, which inexorably destroy our natural environment.<\/h5>\n

This resulted in the birth of the series \u00abMe ne frego\u00bb (\u201cI don\u2019t care\u201d), in which the artworks express the absurd indifference of contemporary humans when faced with the current climate crisis, in a clear dichotomy between the gravity of the situation and the ironic humour in the way it is represented.<\/h5>\n
